Jessie Lee Vanatta, age 93 of Liberty, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at NHC Healthcare Center in Smithville.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. Robinson and Shellie Cooper Robinson; her husband of 50 years Buford Neal Vanatta; two brothers, Truitt Robinson and Stephen Edward Robinson; a sister Melodia Mathis; four brothers-in-law, Austin Rhody, Walter Carter, Elzie McBride, and Earnest Mathis.
She is survived by children, Jerry Paul and Gay Vanatta of Watertown, Joyce and John David Foutch of Alexandria, Patsy and Nick Nokes of Liberty, and Kristie Vanatta of Smithville; grandchildren, Libby and Daniel Kelly, Jeremy and Sarah Vanatta, Ethan and Giuliani Vanatta, Jennifer and Eric Hogeland, Daniel and Lacy Foutch, and Nick and Susan Nokes; seven great grandchildren. A brother, Robert and Roberta Robinson of Liberty; sisters, Lena Rhody, Bertha McBride, and Lavelle and Willie Turner; sister-in-law, Margie Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service was held Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019 at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Thurman Seber and David Moody officiated with burial will following in Salem Cemetery.
Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria, was in charge of the arrangements.
