Vaughn

Mr. Jewell Dean Vaughn of Smithville, TN, (Oak Grove Community) died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born January 01, 1932, in DeKalb County, TN, was a retired nurseryman, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Mary Della Adcock Vaughn, sisters Ruby Young and Reba Harris, brothers JD Vaughn, Amos Reed Vaughn, and Gene Vaughn.

Survivors include his wife Rebecca George Vaughn, his daughter and son-in-law Sherry & Russ Mullen, his son and daughter-in-law Terry & Charlotte Vaughn, grandchildren Chelsea, Trevor, and Marcus Vaughn, Ben and Rachel Mullen, and brothers Jimmie Vaughn and Bill Vaughn. Many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Funeral service were held Friday, April 29, 2016, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Ted Stoffel will officiated. Interment following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Military grave rites were conducted by American Legion Post 173 and V.F.W. Post 5064.

McMinnville Funeral Home, McMinnville were in charge of the arrangements.
