Jimmy Hoyte Taylor, age 81, of the Snow Hill Community, passed away Thursday morning, March 5, 2020 at his residence.
Jimmy was born August 25, 1938 to his parents, the late Jasper and Ocia Page Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nadean Taylor; sister, Dossie Taylor; nephews, Kenny Rhody, Terry Watts; niece, Rhonda Newby; sisters-in-law, Melba (Arnold) Watts and Nadell (Paul) Grissom.
Jimmy was a member of the Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church and retired from Carrier.
He is survived by his daughter, Jan Taylor of Dowelltown; sister, June Rhody of Smithville; niece, Gayle (Stacy) Caldwell; nephews, Myron (Cindy) Rhody and Tim (Regina) Watts; several great-nieces and nephews; special granddaughters by love, Caitlin and Christian and their parents, Tammy and Scott Turner.
Funeral service was held Sunday, March 8, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Joel Wood and Bill Robertson officiating. Burial followed will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers were Colton Rhody, Johnny Pack, Craig Newby, David Weaver, Collin Cantrell and Aaron Cantrell.
The family asks that donations be made to Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church or to the charity of your choice.
