Funeral services for Jimmy Hullett, 61, of Dowelltown were held Sept. 11 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Floyd Massey officiated with burial following at Salem Cemetery.
Mr. Hullett passed away Sept. 8 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was a self-employed painter and affiliated with Brush Creek United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Roy and Mary Cassie Davenport Hullett; grandson Jimmy Lee Gibbs; brothers, Mack and Alton Hullett; and sister Ailene Farless.
Survivors include his wife Alice Hullett of Dowelltown; two children, Lisa Fayen Gibbs and Jimmy Dwayne (Debbie) Hullett both of Dowelltown; grandchild Amanda Gibbs of Liberty; two sisters, Hazel Stanley of Smithville and Fay Smith of Alexandria; special son-in-law, Lee Gibbs of Liberty; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included Lee Gibbs, Chris Walker, “Bo” Azel Tyree, Eric Cox, Joe Driver and Brian Howell.
Serving as honorary pallbearer was Tommy Duggin.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, LLC, was in charge of the arrangements.
