Funeral services for Jimmy Lee Thomason, 77, of Nashville were held Oct. 8 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.  Bro. Michael Hale officiated with burial following at Salem Cemetery.
Mr. Thomason passed away Oct. 4 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was a truck driver for 36 years and affiliated with the Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Lola Hunt Thomason; a son, Jimmy Wade Thomason; a granddaughter, Paula Jo Young; three brothers, Willie Wade Thomason Jr., John Thomason, Tom Thomason; and two sisters, Ruby Ensley and Fannie Catherine Thomason.
He is survived by his wife, Ariene Thomason of Nashville; children, Carolyn Farrar, of Murfreesboro, Gail Thomason, of Smyrna, and Janey (Larry) Dickens of Smithville, Steve (Kathy) Thomason, of McMinnville and Tony (Renee) Thomason, of Lebanon; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Alene Gill of Hermitage; and an aunt, Eliza Midgett of Mt. Juliet.
Serving as pallbearers were J.D. Young, Joseph McGuire, Larry Dickens, Tony Thomason, Steve Thomason and Jerry Knox.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
