Funeral services for Joe Ann Tramel, 51, of Smithville, were held Dec. 29 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Mt. Holly Cemetery.   
Mrs. Tramel passed away Dec. 27 at her residence. She was a factory worker and worked in a restaurant. 
 She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Thomason; and brother, Doyle Thomason.
Survivors include her husband, Ricky “Possum” Tramel of Smithville; daughter, Medeana Tramel (Arlin Byford) of Smithville; two grandchildren, Jada Palmer and Riley Palmer; mother, Dean Thomason of Smithville; sister, Sandra Thomason of Smithville; two nephews, Roman Smith and Xavier Glenn; niece, Keshia Castilleos; and special friend, Wendi Bain of Smithville.
Serving as pallbearers were Arlin Byfrod, Roman Smith, Matthew england, Scott Ferrell, Leroy Hensley and Terry Ferrell.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
