Joe Bell Maynard, age 96, of Silver Point  passed on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at NHC Healthcare Cookeville in Cookeville, Tennessee.

Joe was born on Tuesday, October 30, 1928, in Silver Point, the son of the late Claude Maynard and the late Nora Brown Maynard. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Sue Maynard; his sister, Elizabeth (Sue) Bielefeldt; and his brother, Floyd Maynard.

Joe had a passion for woodworking, being outdoors, and he loved to garden. He always had his dog Riley by his side.

Surviving are daughter, Anita Odle (James) "Ode”; two granddaughters, Kelsey Odle and Taylor Odle.

Funeral service was held Thursday, May 15, 2025  from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Ramsey officiating.  Interment followed at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

Crest Lawn Funeral Home, Cookeville, was in charge of the arrangements.
