Joe D. Taylor, age 88 of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday afternoon May 28, 2019 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro.
He was a retired construction worker, and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
He was born August 30, 1930 to his parents, the late John Hershel and Effie Lorene Taylor.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Joseph Logan Higgins, Kaleb Douglas Woodcock; sister, Irene Malone; and brother, Carlon Taylor.
Joe is survived by his wife Faye Cubbins Taylor of Lebanon; children, Gene (Glena) Taylor of Broken Arrow, OK, Pam (David) Higgins of Burns, TN, and Jennifer Woodcock of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Blaine (Missy) Higgins, Loren (Robert) Donegan, Paige (Barry) Baker, Evan Taylor; five Great grandchildren, Hunter & Noah Donegan, Palmer & Pierson Higgins, and Colton Baker; sister-in-law: Linda Sue (Randy) Tramel of Smithville.
Funeral service was conducted Saturday June 1, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Donald Owens officiating. Burial followed in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers were Evan Taylor, Blaine Higgins, Barry Baker, Rob Donegan, Greg Tramel, and Jeff Tramel.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
