Funeral services, for Joe Donald Young, 56, of Murfreesboro were held June 18 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Douglas Webb officiated with burial following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.  
Mr. Young passed away June 16 at his residence. He worked for Nissan as a lead technician for 27 years, and he also was a self-employed body shop owner.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jo Webb Little; step-mother, Georgia Young; and daughter, Paula Jo Young.
Survivors include his wife, Carmen Young of Murfreesboro; son, J.D. Young of Smithville; daughter, Amanda Niper of Fairview; grandson, Joseph Landon Pack; father, Morris Young of Liberty; brothers, Eddie Morris Young of Smithville, Terry Young of Mt. Juliet, Jeff Young of Alexandria, and Anthony “Buck” Littie of Hyden, Ky.; sisters, Sherry Williams of Alexandria, Donna Hale of Brush Creek and Lesa Hayes of Liberty.
Pallbearers included David Money, Mike Groush, Chuck Curtis, Walter Burke, Darrell Ingle, and Mike Pinson.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, LLC, was in charge of the arrangements.
