Mr. John Alsup age, 78, of Dowelltown passed away Thursday June 25, 2020 at his residence.

 He was born April 28, 1942 to his parents, the late Lillard Jacob, and Mary Carmine Alsup. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Alsup and a brother, Sonny Alsup. 

 Mr. Alsup served in the United States Air Force, he was a car dealer and he attended The Old Fashioned Free Will Baptist Church.

 He is survived by his wife, Judy Alsup of Dowelltown; sons, John Miller Alsup  of Dowelltown and Jacob Lee Alsup of Brentwood; sister, Pam Alsup of Murfreesboro; brother, Jerry Alsup of Murfreesboro.

 Funeral service was held Sunday June 28, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mark Miller officiating. Burial followed in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

 Pallbearers included Clyde Wilson, Louie Babbitt, Gary Mucha, Terry Highers, Darrell Gill and Bobby Johnson.

 In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to the DeKalb Animal Coalition or to the charity of your choice, donations may be made at the funeral home.

 DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
