Holder

Funeral service for John D. Holder, 92, of Smithville, formerly of the Centertown Community, was held September 21, 2017 at McMinnville Funeral Home. Robert Wright, David Bratecher, and Donnie Kelly officiated with burial following in the Centertown Cemetery.

Mr. Holder passed away September 19, 2017 at NCH Healthcare in Smithville.

He was born December 17, 1924, in Warren County, TN, was a retired employee of Burroughs-Ross-Colville Company, a member of the Smithville Assembly of God, and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Mr. Holder was preceded in death by parents Herbert and Ella Williamson Holder, wife Alma Lee Holder, son Charles Edwin Holder, and brothers Ray, Jason, and Paul Holder.

Survivors include his children Jack (Esther) Holder, Smithville; James Jacobs, McMinnville; Willie (Barbara) Jacobs, Woodbury; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.

McMinnville Funeral Home, McMinnville, TN, was in charge of the arrangements.
