John Franklin Suggs, age 73, of Alexandria died Friday, May 1, 2020 at his residence.

He was a residential painter, a Baptist, and a US Army veteran.

The family chose cremation.

Suggs was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce Wilbur Suggs and Nell Marie Scott; a brother, Tommy Suggs, and a sister Ramona Suggs.

He is survived by three sons, John Jason Suggs, Joshua Ryan and Nikita Suggs, and Joseph Eugene and Devin Suggs all of Savannah, Georgia. Grandchildren, Colin and Noah Suggs; sisters and brothers, Jackie Orr of Reddick, Florida, Bruce Suggs, Jr of Gainesville, Florida, and Ricky Suggs of Reddick, Florida.

Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria, was in charge of the arrangements.
