John Leonard Johnson 42 year old John Leonard Johnson of Smithville passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at his residence.

He was a member of the Smithville Church of Christ and Director of Foster Care and Adoption for the State of Tennessee. The funeral was held Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Smithville Church of Christ. Dan Gulley officiated with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gus Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Niki Johnson; two children, Madelyn Johnson and Adam Johnson; mother, Joyce and Mark Boyd; sister, Melissa and Greg Muskoft; niece, Kellen Chalfant; and two nephews, Garrett Muskoft, and Tristan Chalfant all of Smithville.
