Funeral services for John S. Anderson, 81, of Short Mountain Community were held at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. James Hayes officiated, with burial following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.He passed away March 28 at Stones River Hospital in Woodbury.He was born July 7, 1932 to his parents, the late James Alvis and Haley Cox Anderson.Mr. Anderson was a U.S. Army Veteran, was a member of the American Legion where he served as Past Commander of the Blue Springs Missouri Chapter. He was a Baptist and a retired factory worker.In addition to to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
