Johnnie Carlon Turner, 90, of Smithville died Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

 

He was a member of the Jacobs Pillar Methodist Church, a farmer, and a construction worker.

 

The funeral was held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

 

Royce Martin officiated with burial following in Whorton Springs Cemetery.

 

Turner was a member of Jacobs Pillar Methodist Church, a Farmer, and a Construction worker.

 

Turner was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Ella Patterson Morris; four brothers, Morris, Aubrey, Donald, and Wilson Turner; and a son, Steve Turner.

 

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Mildred Webb Turner of Smithville. Daughter-in-law, Sharon Turner of Smithville. Two grandchildren, Corey Turner of Smithville and Stephanie Turner of Smithville. Two great grandchildren, Baylee Phillips and Ashley Phillips of Smithville. Three brothers, Kenneth and Ann Turner of Granville, David Turner of Nashville, and Sam Turner of Cookeville. Two sisters, Nina Ruth Puckett of Lebanon and Sue McGuire of Nashville and several nieces and nephews.

 

 

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, was in charge of the arrangements.
