Funeral services for Johnny Edward Williams, 73, of Smithville were held Feb.18 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Dan Gulley and Bro. Tim Woodward officiated, with burial following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
He passed away Feb. 15 at Dekalb Community Hospital.
He was retired from the City of Smithville, and a member of the Smithville Church of Christ.
He was the son of the late Edgar and Ola May Dedmon Williams.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Williams; brothers, Roy, Pete, and J.B. Williams; sisters, Aline Bates, Mattie Oleta West, and Marie Rucker, father-in-law, Sam Hendrixson.
He is survived by his mother-in-law, Nina Hendrixson of Smithville; sister-in-law, Donna Hendrixson and fiance Terry Mahle of Smithville; niece, LaVaughnda (John) Baker of McMinnville; great nephew, Wesley Tatrow of McMinnville; sister, Louise Sweeney of Hartsville; brother, Brownie (Ann) Williams of Gordonsville; sister-in-law, Joann Williams of Murfreesboro: nieces, Teresa (Michael) French, Annette Williams (Kenneth) Warrick, and Jeanette Williams.
Pallbearers included; Terry Mahle, John Baker, Wesley Tatrow, Danny Tatrow, Kenneth Warrick, and Woody Adcock.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
