Joseph Charles Edge, 76, of Smithville, passed away April 21 at DeKalb Community Hospital. The family has chosen direct cremation and there will be no visitation or services held.Mr. Edge was a highway superintendent. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Caroline Edge; wife, Grace Edge; and son, Patrick Michael Edge.Survivors include his children, Shaun Edge, Carey Edge Teeters and Donnie Edge; grandchildren, Hannah George, Rebecca, Joseph M., Alexis, Jeremy, James, Kevin, Amy, Curtis and Daniel Edge; and several great-grandchildren.
