Funeral services for Juanita Grissim, 60, of Liberty, were held May 26 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Michael Hale officiated with burial following in Sycamore Cemetery.    
Mrs. Grissim passed away May 23 at NHC Healthcare Center, Smithville. She was a cook at DeKalb West School for nine years, in the Senior Citizens Club in Liberty and affiliated with Liberty United Methodist Church.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Myler Vickers Dodd; her first husband, Jimmy Paul Gunter; a brother, Clyde Dodd; and a sister, Alvena Dodd.
Survivors include her husband, Walter J. Grissim of Liberty; children, Tammy (Robert) Smith of Alexandria, Steve Gunter and companion, Lois Horn of Smithville, Joe (Penny) Gunter of the Short Mountain community; grandchildren, John and Nick Smith, Tina and Jennifer Gunter, Josh Gunter, Jason Gunter and Emily Hall; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Gunter, Zack and Rick Gunter, Dakota Gunter, Austin and Katlyn Smith and McKenzie Hall; and a sister, Jean Mayo of Gassaway.
Pallbearers included Josh Gunter, Jason Gunter, John Gunter, Nick Gunter, Ryan Murphy and Rick Gunter.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
