June Myers Mullican, age 76 of Smithville, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Friday morning, October 20, 2023. 

She was born March 21, 1947, to her parents, the late Emmett Ray and Edith Manus Myers.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Myers. 

June was mischievous, loved children and animals.  She worked many years at DeKalb County Bank as a loan officer and lastly was an assistant with Dr. Mark Burke.  She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 50 years, Don Mullican of Smithville; two daughters, Amy L. (Sean) Mullican of Hermitage and Rachel L. (Keith) Melton of Smithville; three grandchildren, Olivia June, Conrad T. and Brody D.; step-grandson, Kelby Melton; brother, Steve Myers of Florida and sister, Ann Kraemer of North Carolina. 

The family has honored June's request to be cremated and a Memorial Service was held Saturday, October 28, 2023, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with David McKinney and Bro. Michael Hale officiating. 

In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Smithville/DeKalb County Humane Society, in memory of June. 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
