Funeral services for Kanzada Summers, 87, of Dowelltown, were held April 24 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Virgil Hibdon Jr. officiated with burial following in Pedigo-Summers Cemetery.   
Mrs. Summers passed away April 22 at her daughter’s residence in Dowelltown. She was a homemaker. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Agnes Buckner Pedigo; husband, John Lee Summers; two sons, Gordon and Albert Lee Summers; four brothers, Norval, Edd, Aaron Lee and Elzie Vester Pedigo; three sisters, Frances Bandy, Odell Summers and Carrie Inez Pedigo.
Survivors include her two daughters, Kay Bailiff of Dowelltown, Jeanette Farris of Smithville; three sons, Bobby and Sue Summers and Roger Summers, all of Smithville, and Douglas and Kathy Summers of Liberty; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorene and Wilburn Chastine of Winchester; half-brother, Elvis and Deborah Pedigo of Dowelltown; and half-sister, Marie and Jimmie Luna of Smithville.
Pallbearers included Randall Hunt, Robin Summers, Ronald Whitaker, Albert Summers, Ricky Bailiff and Gerald Bailiff.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Richard Summers and Dale Simons.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
