Boring
Funeral Services for Karen Mary Boring, 74, of the Johnson Chapel Community of DeKalb County were held Feb. 22 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.
Father David Cooney officiated, with burial following in the Peeled Chestnut Cemetery.
She passed away Feb.19 at her daughter’s home in Kentucky.
She was a Catholic, a homemaker, and a member of Am Vets and Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Luella Day Fogarty; two brothers, Gregory Fogarty and Paul Fogarty Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Boring of the Johnson Chapel Community; three children, Bryan Boring of Shelbyville, Bret and wife, Lori Boring of Sparta and Dawn and husband, Patrick Maranto of Drakesboro, KY; five grandchildren, Nikole and husband, Josh Burgette of Westmoreland, Heather and husband, Jesse Parkerson of Holbart, IN, Megan and husband, Winston Hunter of Kansas City, KS, Jared Boring of WI, and Dakota Boring of Sparta; six great grandchildren, Alyssa, Austin, and Tyler Strang, Kailee and Rylee Burgette and Indy Parkerson; five brothers and sisters, Pat and wife Diane Fogarty, Greta and husband, Larry Garlutzo, Teresa Leismer, George Fogarty and Alice Fogarty; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Pallbearers; Josh Burgette, Austin and Tyler Strang, Winston Hunter, Forrest Reeder, and Alan Geurts.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville were in charge of the arrangements.
