Katherine Watson, 85, of Smithville  passed away Sept. 19 at DeKalb Community Hospital. Ms. Watson’s wishes were those of cremation with interment at Frazeysburg, Ohio.
Ms. Watson was a retired factory worker and affiliated with Walker Memorial Baptist Church in Franklin.
Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Joseph Watson; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Watson; son, Charles Allen Watson; and daughter, Laura K. Valentine.
Ms. Watson is survived by two children, Robert E. Watson of New Lexington, Ohio, and Joseph E. Watson (Ruth Nokes) of Baxter; five grandchildren, Raymond Lynch Sr., Tina (Lynch) Chunn, Wayne Watson, Josh Watson and Stacy Jones; great grandchildren, James D. (Amanda) Wiley, Jr., Kerry D. Wiley, Kayla N. Lynch, Anthony P. Lynch, Gabby Hinojosa, Cayden Hinojosa, Austin Hinojosa, Raymond J. Lynch Jr., and Braden Watson; great-great grandchildren, McKinley Wiley, Marcel Hayes, James D. Wiley, III and baby Lillian; son-in-law, David Thomas “Tom” Valentine; daughter-in law  Diane Walker.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
