Funeral services for Houston V. Keith, 86, of Smithville were held Dec. 15 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

Bro. Bernard Houck officiated burial followed in Whorton Springs Cemetery.

He passed away Dec. 12 at NHC Health Care Center.

He was the son of the late Ray and Eva Waldon Keith.

He was a retired mechanic and member of Smithville First Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Keith was also preceded in death by daughter, Sherry Gail Keith; grandson, Jeremy Freeman; two brothers, Donald Keith and T.D. Keith; sister, Ophie Hayes.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen Keith of Smithville; daughters, JoAnn (Larry) Hale of Dowelltown, Sandra Kay (Ricky) Freeman of Smithville; grandchildren, Jared Hale, Derrick (Kristan) Hale both of Dowelltown, Leann Freeman and Fiancé Ron Lamb of McMinnville, Joshua and Jacob Freeman both of Smithville; great-grandchildren, Bonnie Hale, Jeremy Lamb and Bo Hale.

Pallbearers included; Derrick Hale, Jared Hale, Jacob Freeman, Royce Curtis, Donald Hayes, and David White.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements
