Funeral services for Kenneth Houk, 72, of Smithville, were held Feb. 2 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Bernard Houk, Bro. Timothy Darrell Houk and Bro. Avery Brown officiated with burial followed in Banks Cemetery.

Mr. Houk passed away Jan. 31 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was retired from Toshiba and affiliated with Free Will Baptist Church. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Elsie Viola Bratcher Houk; four brothers, Oliver, Charles, Carl and Earl Houk; and one sister, Catherine Ervin.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Judy Houk; a son, Timothy (Cindy) Houk; two grandchildren, April Warren and Josh (Robin) Warren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth (James) Pirtle; two brothers-in-law, Reed Miller and Jackie Ervin; and one sister-in-law, Reggie Houk, all of Smithville.
Pallbearers included Bradley and Brandon Miller, Danny Pirtle, Glendon Houk and Richard and Ricky Ervin.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
