Kenneth Ross Washer, age 82, of Smithville passed away October 25, 2019 at St,. Thomas DeKalb Hospital E.R.
He was born November 15, 1936 to his parents the late Issac Euel and Katie West Washer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Ann Falls; brother, Carl Roy Washer.
Mr. Washer served in the United States Navy, was a member of Sink Creek Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Center Hill Nursery.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ola Fay Washer of Smithville; children, Carl Ross (Michelle) Washer, Ginger Elaine Moore both of Smithville, and Candy Nicole Redmon of McMinnville; grandchildren, Carla (Mark) Pedigo, Amanda Washer, Amy Washer, Caden Washer, Parker Washer, Megan Redmon, Blake (Emily) Moore, Bella and Jake Standridge, and Bryson Pichey all of Smithville; seven great-grandchildren; special niece and nephew, Kim and Jeff Falls; and a very special friend, Doris (Doc) Hibdon.
Funeral was held Monday October 28, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Burial followed in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers included Blake Moore, Scott Moore, Doris (Doc) Hibdon, Mark Pedigo, Berkley Pedigo, Caden Washer, and Bobby Judkins. Honorary pallbearers were Tim Redmon and Jeff Falls.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
