Young

Funeral service for Kenneth Young, age 71, of the Jefferson Community, was held August 27, 2017 at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Garry McBride officiated with burial following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Young passed away August 25, 2017. He was a farmer, a member of the Cattlemen’s Association, and member of Mt. Hope The Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Magness Young, Jr. and Annie Laura Stone; brothers, Paul and Potter Young; and a sister, Peggy Maples.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Susan Jones Young; daughter, Laura Young Hall; granddaughter, Callie Hall; brother, Phillip and Rita Young; sister-in-law, Pam Young; and a brother-in-law, Calvin and Beverly Jones all of Smithville.

Pallbearers included Richard and Melvin Young, Danny Henegar, Keith Randolph, Gentry and Youman Barnes, Steve Hayes and Steve Officer.

Honorary pallbearers were Mike Conley, David Pedigo, Charles Cantrell, Hugh Riley Turner, David Terrell, Ronnie Kent, Jeloy Patterson, Derek Young, Michael Nokes and Jimmy Womack.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, TN., was in charge of the arrangements.
