Graveside services for Willow Dean Atnip Keyt, 86, were held March 9 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens, with interment following.

 

She was a native of DeKalb County and a long-time resident of McMinnville and Knoxville.

 

She passed away March 6 at the University Of Tennessee Medical Center.

 

She was born April 11, 1928 to the late Burley L. and Novella Curtis Atnip.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Keyt, Sr.; four sisters, Gertrude Worley, Viola Jelinek, Elsie McKeever and Alene Holmes Ladd; three brothers, Oliver Atnip, Jack Atnip and Dale Atnip.

 

Dean was a member of the Madison Street Baptist Church, and was a nursery worker.

 

She is survived by her son, Charles E. Keyt, Jr. of Knoxville; granddaughter, Cassandra Keyt Berry of Charlottesville, Va; one brother, Jim Solon Atnip of Georgetown, La; one sister, Ruth Atnip Johnson of Monroe, La; several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements
