Funeral services for Larry “Horse” Ferrell, 59, of Smithville were held May 2 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Bobby Thomason and Michael Hale officiated, with burial following in DeKalb Cemetery.Horse was born June 10, 1954 to his parents, Jewell Brown and Willie Louise Thomason Ferrell.In in addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Glenn “Pony” Ferrell and Charles “Hippie” Ferrell.Horse is survived by his wife, Starr Ferrell of Smithville; two sons, Anthony Ferrell and Jarrod Dodd both of Smithville; one daughter, Sherranna Walker of Gallatin; five grandchildren, Kalab Ferrell, Kadee Ferrell, Hunter Walker, Ava Grace Walker, and Sophie Walker; mother, Louise Jones of Smithville; brother, Wayne Ferrell of Bradyville; sister, Teresa Mayo of Smithville.Pallbearers included; Tad Webb, Jimmy Poss, Chris Cantrell, Jerry Tramel, Chad Hayes, and Chad Colwell.DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.SMITHVILLE REVIEWSmithville, TNMay 7, 2014
