Funeral services for Jewel Wayne Lawson, 70, of McMinnville will be held August 13 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Charles Stanton will be officiating with burial to follow at Banks Cemetery.

 

He passed away August 10 at his residence.

 

Formerly drove a milk truck for Bill Weaver, retired from Dekalb County Road Department where he drove a gravel truck. He also was a lifelong farmer. He was affiliated with the Short Mountain Church of God.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Huey and Sybal Bratcher Lawson; two sisters, Virginia and Judith Lawson.

 

He is survived by his two daughters, Angela Diane Lawson and Tena Ann (Rodney) Basham both of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Brittany Nicole (Blake) Parker of Woodbury, and Lindsey Brooke Basham of McMinnville; two sisters, Sue Arnold and Barbara Lawson both of Smithville; two brothers, Ronald (Dora) Lawson of Woodbury and Donald Lawson of Smithville; former wife and mother of his children, Jo Lawson of McMinnville.

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, Tenn., was in charge of the arrangements
