L.C. Tramel

L.C. Tramel, age 91 of Smithville, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital.

He was a member of the Mount Herman Baptist Church for over 50 years where served as a deacon and song leaders.  He was also retired from Tramel’s Body Shop.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lorene Tramel and parents, William H. and Mary Elizabeth Tramel.

Survivors include a son, Larry and Wanda Tramel of Liberty;  daughter, Janice Ward of Smithville; four grandchildren, Natasha and Randy Vaughn of Alexandria, Resha and Chris Allen of Smithville, Renee and Johnathon Willoughby of Dowelltown, and Lincoln Tramel of Liberty; great grandchildren, Drake and Amanda Vaughn, Ellie Vaughn, Quentin and Ashley Cook and Zackary Snyder all of Smithville and Lydia and Jathan Willoughby of Dowelltown; two great great grandchildren, Aiden Cook and Amelia Vaughn both of Smithville; and a sister, Effie Lee Ellis of Smithville.

Funeral service was held Friday, Oct. 4, 2019 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Johnathon Willoughby and Thurman Seber officiated. Burial followed in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers were Quentin Cook Randy Vaughn, Zack Snyder, Chris Allen, Jathan Willoughby, Lincoln Tramel, Drake Vaughn and Christopher Allen.

Donations may be made to the Mount Herman Building Fund.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
