Funeral services for Leona Hooper-Herman, 81, of Smithville were held Jan. 21 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

Bro. Jack Patterson officiated, with burial following at Mt. Holly Cemetery.

She passed away Jan. 19 at NHC Healthcare in Smithville.

She was a Methodist, and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Bryant and Sudie Foster Hooper; husband, Grady Herman; one sister, Claire Boss; two brothers, Leo and James Hooper; special friend, Bobby Ford.

She is survived by one daughter, Freda Cox of McMinnville; one step-son, George and Jenny Herman of Dibrell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special niece, Diane Strickland of Smithville; two nieces and two nephews also survive.

Pallbearers included; Kenny and Marty Cubbins, Alfred Pedigo, Glendon Houk, and Hugh Washer and Jessie.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
