Leonard E. Redmon, 78, of Smithville died Wednesday at his residence.

 

He was a Baptist and retired from Westinghouse.

 

The funeral was held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

 

Donald Haggard and Shane Smith officiated with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clata Tallent Redmon; a sister, Rufene Cantrell; brothers, Douglas "Mac", James "Jim", and William "Wig" Redmon; a niece and her husband, Ann and Leon Barnes; mother and father-in-law, Roy and Bessie Young Tallent; and brother-in-law, Leroy Tallent.

 

Mr. Redmon is survived by two daughters, Wanda Redmon and Fiance Grady Prichard and Vonda and husband Glen Brown all of Smithville. Three grandchildren, Dustin and Karah Brown and Halea Brown and C.J. Wilkerson, and Xzander Coleman Wilkerson. 3great grandchildren, Ayla, Addyson, and Annslee Brown and Zander Coleman all of Smithville. Four nieces, more like sisters, Hellon Emberton, Thelma Irby, and Brenda and John Clark, and Linda and Chuck Mosley. Two sisters-in-law, JoAnn and Beverly Redmon both of Texas. Brother-in-law, Leonard and Joyce Tallent of Smithville. A host of nieces, nephews, and extended family, neighbors, and friends. Caregivers, April Nolan, Christiana O'Neal, Kelly Cantrell, Michelle DeSilva, Lisa Baker, Tina Young, and Ashley Tittsworth.

 

Pallbearers included; Eddie Green, Donny Green, Jerry Lee Cantrell, Scott Cantrell, Berle Billings Sr., and Dustin Brown.

 

 

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, was in charge of the arrangements.
