Funeral services for Linda Lee Thompson, age 75, of Cookeville was held Sunday, December 30, 2018 at in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Stone officiating. Interment followed in the Cookeville City Cemetery.

 Linda passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

 She was the daughter of the late A.P. McClain and Mary Alice Brown McClain.

 Linda always wanted to put others first and serve everyone around her.  She will long be remembered for her fried chicken.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jerry Dale Abston and a brother, Loyd Hyder; three brothers-in-law, Arvis Lee, Tommy Thompson, and Albert Thompson; sister-in-law, Wanda Thompson.

 She is survived by her husband of fifty six years, Eddie Thompson; daughter, Kim Abston of Cookeville; granddaughter, Morgan Abston of Cookeville; sisters, Pat Lee of Cookeville and Debbie (Steve) London of Smithville; brother, Wayne (Lavita) McClain of Cookeville; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Hyder and Faye Thompson, both of Cookeville; several nieces and nephews.

 Pallbearers included Jeff London, Matt McClain, Darrell Lee, Jim Hyder, Kyle Thompson, and Kevin Thompson.

 Presley Funeral Home, Cookeville, was in charge of the arrangements.
