Linda Ray Cook, age 75, of Alexandria passed away Saturday April 3, 2021 at NHC Healthcare of Smithville.
She was born April 28, 1945 to her parents, the late George and Gladys Chism Ray. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Puggy Cook; great-grandchild, Dylan Harwell; and brother, Roy Ray.
Ms. Linda was a member of Upper Helton Baptist Church, co-owned and worked for 18 years with her husband at Puggy's Carpet Store, and was a factory worker.
She is survived by her children, Melinda (Mark) Miller of Smithville, Tina (Matt) Gipson of Alexandria, and Ernie (Kristin) Cook of Alexandria; grandchildren, Jamie (Holly) Anderson, Josh (Melissa) Miller, Jaya (Jerry) Harwell, Shannon (Jessica) Anderson, Tosha (Tommy) Maynard, Makayla Cook; 15 great-grandchildren; brother Ernest (Elene) Ray of Adams, TN; brother-in-law, Joe (Brenda) Cook of Watertown; sisters-in-law, Patsy Ray of Smithville, Dorothy George of Alexandria, Pam Young of Smithville, Lisa Rhody of Smithville.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Arms and Bro. David Revelle officiating. Burial followed in DeKalb Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Jamie Anderson, Josh Miller, Shannon Anderson, Tommy Maynard, Jerry Harwell, and Ricky Barrett.
The family asked donations be made to Lighthouse Christian Camp in memory of Ms. Linda.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
