Lloyd Ellis “Monk” Anderson, 67, of Smithville passed away Friday, February 24, 2023. He was retired from Texas Boot and DeKalb County Animal Shelter. Mr. Anderson attended Mt. Pisgah Free Will Baptist Church.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by parents, Robert Ernest and Hallie Elizabeth Goines Anderson; three brothers, Robert, Ronnie, and Danny Anderson; and one sister, Debrah Templton.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Anderson of Dowelltown; two sons, Steven (Josie) Anderson and Bobby Anderson of Dowelltown; four grandchildren, Briston, Kelsea, Zaylyn, and Oaklynn Anderson; three sisters, Gail (Jimmy) Phillips of Monterey, TN, Darlene (Arnold) Conley of Smithville, and Cheryl (Barry) Trapp of Smithville. 

Funeral service was held Monday, February 27, 2023 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Bernard Houk and Bro. Graden Kirksey officiated with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens

Pallbearers for the service were Barry Trapp, Chris Patterson, Eric Bogle, Chris Bogle, Michael Phillips, Zaylyn Anderson, Jimmy Phillips, Will Judkins, Allan Hale, and Daniel Anderson. 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
