Lois Ruth (Wilson) Lankford, 83, of Smithville passed away on Nov. 18 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital.

 

She was a member of Smithville First Baptist Church, and was formerly a door greeter at Wal-Mart.

 

Funeral services were held on Nov. 21, at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

 

Burial followed at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammie D. Lankford. Parents, Elvis and Cecil Hutchinson Wilson. Two sisters, Iris Cross & Marjorie Dudney. One brother, Charles Wilson.

 

Survivors include three sons, Carlton D. and wife Barbara Lankford of MS, Calvin Lee and wife Pam Lankford of Smithville, and Clifton Wayne and wife Lynn Lankford of AL.; seven grandchildren, Ginger Haile, Travis Lankford, Christy Lankford, Theodore Lankford, Suzann Lankford, Kim Howell & Jesse Tollett; eight great grandchildren. Special friend, Allen Roll of Smithville. Sister-in-law, Myrtle Wilson of Colombia. Host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Ms. Lois.

 

Pallbearers included; Men of Smithville First Baptist Church.

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements.
