Funeral services for Ms. Lora Dell Vanderpool, 92, of Liberty were held January 20 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

Elder Charles Allen Gentry and Bro. Michael Hale officiated with burial following in Sycamore Cemetery.

She passed away January 17 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.

She was born January 15, 1924 to her parents, the late Felly B. and Maggie Dodd Mathis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Frank Vanderpool; three brothers, Frank Gray Mathis, Henry Howard Mathis, and Felly B. Mathis, Jr.; one sister, Willette Barrett.

Ms. Lora Dell was a member of Caves Springs Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for over 45 years and a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, David Vanderpool, and Randy (Kim) Vanderpool both of Liberty; step-grandaughter, Brianna Cummings; one brother, Guy Mathis of Liberty; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Pallbearers; Gary Mathis, Willie Turner, Charlie Robinson, Ralph Tramel, Wilson Williams, and Robert Robinson.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements.
