Funeral services for Lou Ada Neal, 78, of Smithville were held Feb.15 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. David Tramel and Bro. John Carpenter officiated, with burial following at Whorton Springs Cemetery.
She passed away Feb. 13 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 7, 1935 to Herbert and Sarah Elizabeth Poss Colwell.
Many years ago she was involved with Cub Scouts where she served as den mother. She worked several years in various factories.
She truly enjoyed meeting people and visiting their homes, as she sold Avon products for over 45 years, as well as Mary Kay products, Tupperware and Home Interior. She was known by everyone as a beautiful poised lady, with great respect for others. She will be remembered for being a very kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She was a member of the Bright Hill United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Auvil Colwell and sister Audrey Colwell Moore.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years and faithful caregiver, Paul Y. Neal; two daughters; Rhonda (Robert) Jarvis of Alexandria, and  Kathy (Ronnie) Hendrixson of Smithville; son, Marty Neal of Smithville; three grandsons, Chris (Dianne) Crook of Smithville, Brad Crook and Shauna Stringer of Liberty, Matthew (Christy) Hendrixson of Smithville; granddaughter, Several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Pallbearers included; Chris Crook, Brad Crook, Matthew Hendrixson, Bill Crook, Jimmy Poss and Bobby Poss.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
