Funeral services for Ms. Louada Illene Trapp, 81, of Smithville were held Jan. 25 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

Bro. Mike Carpenter, and Sister, Luanna Tollett officiated, with burial interment following in Burton-Ponder Cemetery.

She passed away Jan. 21 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital.

She was born August 27, 1934 to the late Spencer and Inez Puckett Frazier.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Mason Trapp; two brothers, Glen and Gary Frazier.

Ms. Illene was a member of Buckner’s Chapel United Methodist Church and retired from the DeKalb County Board of Education.

She is survived by four children, Dennis (Angela) Trapp, Timmy "Bebo" (Sandra) Trapp, Kathy (Joey) Goodwin all of Smithville, and Michael (Kristie) Trapp of Algood; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Trapp, Joseph Trapp, Wesley Young, Grant Goodwin, Katelyn Goodwin, Solomon Trapp, and Silas Trapp; four great-grandchildren, Hannah and Leah Trapp, Wyatt and Lanie Young; one sister, Lila Downs of Knoxville.

In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Buckner’s Chapel United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to the charity of your choice.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation for the many caregivers that have cared for Ms. Illene through the years.

Pallbearers include; Jeremy Trapp, Joseph Trapp, Solomon Trapp, Silas Trapp, Grant Goodwin, and Wesley Young.

Honorary pallbearers; Johnathan Frazier, Will Frazier and Johnny Burchman.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements.
