Louis Brown Foster
Louis Brown Foster, a fifth-generation Tennessean, was born on April 10, 1900 in Smithville, Tennessee, the fifth child of William Brown Foster and Kate Crowley Foster. He joined the U.S. Navy as soon as he could. After his military service, he began his life-long career as an outstanding insurance agent.
Louis Brown on January 24, 1966 joined his ancestors, grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was survived by his children, William “Billy” Brown Foster, Donald Kemper Foster (Maurine), Joan Wallace (David), Mary Helen Dunnam (Sam), Charles Crawford Foster and Carol Ann Foster his grandchildren, Wayne Edward Foster, David Timothy Wallace, Susan M. Wallace and Mary J, Dunnam, his great-granddaughter, Margaret Ann Foster, his siblings, O'Fallon Dearman, John Lee Elmore “Josh” Foster, Susie R. Foster, Mary Rebecca Young and Wilma Seals, his nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Louis Brown Foster were held in Center, Texas, where he died and was buried in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
Louis Brown has been reinterred in the Smithville Town Cemetery, where his parents, paternal grandparents, Anthony Lancaster Foster and Mary Elizabeth Cameron Foster, 4 siblings, 17 aunts and uncles and many other relatives are interred.
A graveside memorial service led by Dan Gulley, Pulpit Minister/Elder, Smithville Church of Christ, will be held for Louis Brown Foster on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Smithville Town Cemetery, Smithville, Tennessee.
