Fisher

Luther Wayne Fisher, age 68, a Sparta resident and DeKalb County native, died Dec. 9 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness.

He was an employee with White County Lumber, member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and son of the late Luke Lee and Ovlean Hendrixson Fisher.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson Tyler Green-Fisher; brother, Carl David Fisher and sister, Linda Cantrell.

Mr. Fisher is survived by sons, Michael (Peggy) Fisher of McMinnville and Dusty (Angie) Fisher of the Irving College Community; daughter, Heather (Ryan) Green of Sparta; grandchildren, Timothy Green-Fisher and Whinston Alford; brother, Walter R. (Brenda) Fisher of McMinnville; sisters, Maggie Hughes of McMinnville, Shirley Fisher of Smithville and Barbara Grissom of Rock Island; several nieces and nephews and the mother of his children, Donna Rutledge of Campaign.

A private, family graveside service will be held at Whorton Springs Cemetery.

High Funeral Home, Mcminnville was in charge of the arrangements.
