Funeral services for Lynn Ellery Colwell, 68, of Jefferson, were held Sept. 16 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Gary McBride and Dwight Knowles officiated with burial following in Jefferson Cemetery.
Mr. Colwell passed away Sept. 13 at Alive Hospice Madison Campus. He was a mechanic at True Value and affiliated with Mt. Hope The Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Abe Jackson Colwell and Clara Frances Summers.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years Brenda Colwell; three sons Trent and Christie Colwell, Chad and Deana Ruth Colwell and Gabe and Heather Colwell; eight grandchildren Sarah Anne Colwell, Lauren Colwell, Katie Colwell, Madison Colwell, Jake Colwell, Luke Colwell, Ian Colwell and Lola Colwell; three sisters Shirley and James Dunn of Smithville, Sandra and Roger Kirby of Cookeville and Ella Rhea and Tommy Hale of Watertown; and a brother Austin Colwell of Smithville.
Serving as pallbearers were Jonathan Barnes, Jonathan Montinth, Earl Montinth, Clark Lance, Jared Knowles, Michael Jennings, Chad Jennings and Daniel Seiber.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
