Martha Inez Colwell Moore, age 83, of Sparta passed away Saturday night, September 10, 2022, at her residence. 

She was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Smithville First United Methodist Church and a member of the Sisterhood.  She married Hugh Edwin Moore on September 21, 1957. 

She was born February 24, 1939, to her parents, the late Toy Brown and Lydia Mae Williams Colwell.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Doyle Lynn Moore; seven brothers, Floyd, James, Dallas, John B. Johnny Ringo, Lillard and Eugene Colwell. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of almost 65 years, Rev. Edwin Moore of Sparta; two children, Royce (Rhonda) Moore of Dowelltown and Elizabeth Moore (Brenda Elrod) of LaVergne; grandchildren, Bradley (Cassdie) Moore and Brandey Moore; great-grandchildren, Alexis Mim and Tyler Moore; two brothers, Willard (Sally) Colwell of Smithville and Daniel Colwell of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews also survive; special caregivers that was like adopted family, Missy Murphy and Crystal Malone. 

Funeral services was held Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Lunsford officiating and burial followed in Plainview Cemetery at Cassville.

Pallbearers included. Bradley Moore, Matt Colwell, Dennis Ramsey, Mike O'Connor, Pat O'Connor, and Stuart Colwell.

Donations may be made to the Smithville First United Methodist Church, in memory of Mrs. Martha. 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
