Mary “Libba” Christie King, 92, died Tuesday, November 22 at Raintree Manor

 

She was born January 7, 1924 in Stephens, Arkansas.

 

She was the daughter of the late Joshua Finis and Maggie Bryan Scott, and wife to the late Gaylord Christie.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Edith (John) Thompson, Addie (Lewis) Norwood, and Maggie B. (Clifford) King; and brothers, Earl (Auda) Scott, Dean (Florene) Scott, Kenneth (Jean) Scott, Lloyd (Sue Ann) Scott, Gerald (Betty) Scott, and John Penn Scott.

 

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Clayta Scott of Hot Springs, Arkansas; daughters, Karen Ford of Las Vegas, Nevada, Joyce (Tyree) Smith of McMinnville, TN, Debbi (George) Long of Simpsonville, SC; grandchildren, Peter (Jen) Ford of Pleasanton, CA, Andy (Gini) Ford of St. Louis, MO, Mark (Cata) Ford of Beijing, China, Christie (Andy) Sudduth of Aiken, SC, Katelyn Long of Spartanburg, SC; and locally, Nathan (Tesh) Smith, Alan (Kristina) Smith, and Ryan (Candace) Smith; nineteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation will be held at Westside Baptist Church on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

 

A graveside service will be held in Magnolia, Arkansas on December 28.
