Mary "Libby" Elizabeth Hale, age 57, of Dowelltown passed away Monday morning, August 10, 2020 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital.

 Mary worked in factories and was affiliated with Dowelltown Baptist Church.

 She was born November 6, 1962 to her parents the late Willie Eugene "Sheep" and Jessie Vada Atnip Thomas. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Dean Thomas; brother, Jackie Eugene Thomas.

  She is survived by her husband, Mark Hale of Dowelltown; daughters, Sarah Thomas and her partner, Casey McElfresh of Kentucky, Jessica (Andy) Pack of Smithville, and Sabrina (Jordan) Melton of Dowelltown; grandchildren, Ella, Ava and Briar Pack, Jay Austin Melton; sister Mary Lou (Danny) McGuire of Smithville; brother, Jessie (Rhonda) Thomas of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive.

 Funeral service was held Thursday August 13, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Richard Williams officiating. Burial followed in Hale Cemetery.

 Pallbearers included Casey McElfresh, Jarrad Mathis, Andy Pack, Jordon Melton, Jessie Thomas, and William Mathis.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was is in charge of arrangements.
