Memorial services for Mary Lue Whitefield, 75, of Smithville, were held March 25 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home with Bro. Virgil Hibdon Jr. officiating.
Ms. Whitefield passed away March 21 at DeKalb Community Hospital. She worked as a home health aide and was of the Southern Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Taft Whitefield; two mothers, Ethel Whitefield and Eunice Mae Lawson; two brothers, William Taft Whitefield Jr. and Waymon Howard Whitefield; a sister, Lola Mae Walker; and a sister-in-law, Mary Glenn Whitefield.
Survivors include her six sons, Jim (Cari) Waldrop of Smithville, James Michael Bochy of Mexico, Charles Frederick Bochy, Kenneth Wayne Bochy, Joseph Eugene Allen and Peter Edward Bochy, all of Colorado; two daughters, Brenda Frances (Edward) Schodt of Colorado and Ethel Melissa (Jeffery) Moser of Arizona; a sister, Nell Stewart of South Pittsburg; a brother, Charles Lee (Sue) Whitefield of South Pittsburg; brother-in-law, Jerry Walker of Smithville; niece Kelly (Scott) McClendon of South Pittsburg; two nephews, Tim (Joanie) Walker of Smithville and L.T. (Monica) Pardon of South Pittsburg; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
