Funeral services for Mr. Carl McBride of Smithville were held Aug. 22 at the Chapel of DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

Bro. Jimbo Eddins officiated, with interment following in Whorton Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Carl McBride passed away Aug. 20 at his daughter’s home in Hermitage.

He was born November 18, 1933 in Temperance Hall to the late Bud and Eunice Scott McBride.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie McBride; one daughter, Patricia Gail McBride; grandson, Andrew McBride Ferris.

Carl attended The Gathering in Smithville and worked with Purity Dairies for 36 years.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Frances McBride of Smithville; two daughters, Cindy (Grover) Moss of Hermitage and Angie (Robert) Havener of Nashville; one grandson, Jonathan Powell of Nashville; one great-grandson, Evan Powell; two brothers, Charles (Marie) McBride of Brentwood, and John (Mary) McBride of Mt. Juliet; nieces, Pam Beverly, Sharon, and Melissa; one great niece, Wendy.

Honorary Pallbearer: Jesse Baker

Pallberers included; Matthew Beeler, Josh Chapman, Brisco Robinson, Travis Johnson, Jay Smith, and Jimbo Robinson.
