Funeral services for Melvin Franklin McCormick, 75, of Smithville were held April 23 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Phillip Adcock officiated with burial following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.  
Mr. McCormick passed away April 21 at NHC Healthcare Center. He was a factory worker and affiliated with the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Franklin and Ollie Myrtle Adcock McCormick..
Survivors include his daughter, Janice (Larry) Blish of Smtihville; granddaughter, Stephanie Dodson of McMinnville; four great-granddaughters, Kelsi Glenn, Alissa Glenn, Selena Glenn, Atlantis Dodson; four sisters, Fay (Franklin) Adcock of Smithville, Ann Hallum of Smithville, Linda (Ralph) Womack of McMinnville, Kathy (Glen) Cannon of Rock Island; three brothers, James (Charlotte) McCormick of McMinnville, Leonard McCormick of Smithville, Bobby (Patricia) McCormick of Smtihville; and special friend, Dot Underwood of Smithville.
Pallbearers included Ricky Adcock, Derwin Adcock, Michael Hallum, Glen Underwood, J.W. Brown, Shane Hallum, Jonathan McCormick, Jeremy Cannon, B.J. Brown, and Jamie McCormick.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, LLC, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
