Funeral services for Mert Byford, 71, of Woodbury were held Sept. 21 at Woodbury Funeral Home. Bro.Leonard Herman officiated.Mr. Byford passed away Thursday, Sept. 19 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was a native of DeKalb County, a member of the Baptist Church, and a farmer and a mechanic.Mr. Byford is survived by his wife, Eunice Ferrell of Woodbury; children, Ella (Mike) Green, Greg Byford , Shane Byford all of Woodbury and Charles Ferrell of Liberty.He is also survived by grandchildren, Shala (Jason) Tune, Kimberly (Danniel) Morton, Myranda and Lucas Byford, Cheyenne, Hayden and Madison Byford; two great grandchildren, Lyndsey Tune and Devin Morton; brother, George H (Geneva) Byford of Woodbury; special friends, Hilton Ferrell and Tammara Giornesto; several nieces and nephews also survive.Woodbury Funeral Home, Woodbury, TN, was in charge of arrangements.SMITHVILLE REVIEWSmithville, TNSeptember 25, 2013
