Mr. Claude Keith Billings, age 91, of the Peeled Chestnut Community of DeKalb County passed away Monday morning, December 6, 2021 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. 

 Mr. Billings was born on January 18, 1930 in Silver Point, TN to his parents, the late Ray & Clara Felts Billings. In addition to his Parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Rhea Billings, three sisters, Alma Billings, Odene Prater and Ellen Hutchins; two Brothers, Ernest Billings & Melvin Billings.

 Mr. Billings served his county in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a Pattern Maker at Paragrind Industries and was a member of the Johnson Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. 

 Funeral service was held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Steven Billings officiated with burial following at Peeled Chestnut Cemetery with Gary Rickman officiating at the graveside.

 Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Steven (Tina) Billings of Sweetwater, TN, John (Wendy) Billings of Michigan & Jason (Sally) Billings of Brentwood, TN; one daughter and son-in-law, Claudette (Glenn) Peterson of Maryland; onebBrother and sister-in-law, RV (Brenda) Billings of Sparta, TN; special sisters-in-law, Helen Faul of Michigan and Robbie Young of Rock Island, TN; eight grandchildren, Bruce and Tripti Billings, Stormie and Ethan Pryor, Patricia Peterson, Samantha Peterson, Jonathon and Allie Peterson, Wyatt Billings, Emily and Josh Denk, Elissa and Collin McRae. Several Great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends also survive. 

 Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
